Dear Friends,
Praise be to our Almighty God for the ministry opportunities He gives us here in Africa!
By His grace we have been able to start the Hope Int. Senior High School. All glory to God. Thank you so very much for your prayer support. We strongly believe that this will be a strong tool to reach the students for Christ, and through them reach other towns and villages too for Him. Be with us in your daily prayers.
As I did mention in my last prayer letter, our Faith Promise Conference this year was in October, we focused on using the conference to start a new ministry at Nsuta; some few miles from Techiman on the Sunyani main road. For those of you who have been here to see the various ministries the Lord has entrusted into our hands, it is just some few km from the Bonkwae church where Pastor Atta Takyi is the Pastor. This new ministry will be led by Pastor Atta Takyi as the lead man with the support of both Pastor George and Pastor John Volante (Grandpa) who is here for a year with us. What a joy it is to have Pastor Volante, former Pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church of East MA in the USA.
We had an open air meetings there at the village of Nsuta for three nights. We would go out around 3:00 p.m. for visitation, then hold the night meetings where we showed a video and then preached the gospel. I preached the first night, Pastor Steve Volante the second night, and Grandpa Volante the third. In all, by His grace, we saw 34 people come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Glory be to God!!!!!
During all these important meetings, I was very sick, but asked the Lord to allow me to play my role in planting this church for His glory. I am grateful to our God for allowing me to do just that for Him. Amen. I have never been this sick in my life. Please, pray with me. I was going from one doctor to the other and still not knowing what was exactly wrong with me.
I thank God for the team our God has put together here. Pastor Steve Volante and Atta Takyi came over to the house a bit worried about what the possibilities were; since the pains were so severe especially inside my head. They took me to see another doctor in town. Dr. Boateng; a physician who received his medical training in the USA. Thank God he was able to diagnose me of an acute sinus infection, which according to him I should have treated long ago; but as you may know, no doctor had ever told me. This has affected me greatly. I am still very weak, in pain, and have had consistent cough for weeks now. My chest, throat and the whole head hurts so much.
I am still on medication and am scheduled to see the doctor again on Saturday. He did mention, however, that since I have had it for a while, he is going to treat it for some time. Please, pray that the Lord will meet our needs. He has never failed us.
We are presently holding our African Mount Abarim meetings here in Techiman. My family and I are grateful to God for allowing us to host four of our African Missionaries and the meetings are also being held here in our living room; many of you know that it is roomy enough for such meetings. I also thank God for my Pastor; Steve Volonte, for choosing our house because it enables me easy access to my medicine, etc., and also the many things the Lord allows us to do together cordially and in love for Him. I believe that together, many are being accomplished for eternity. Amen.
I just decided to report to you in this my weakness and to ask for your prayer support. Thank you all for what you do on our behalf. You are greatly loved!!
In Christ,
Pastor Samuel & Family
