Dear Praying Friends:
For the first time in several years, we were with my parents for Christmas and New Year’s Day. On New Year’s Eve, we enjoyed a time of reading God’s Word, sharing praises, and praying together. All of us agreed in thanking God for the many people who sacrificially give to make it possible for us to serve as missionaries. Thank you for being a part of our team!
Mongolian Translation: The Gospel of John in Mongolian has just gone through its fourth printing. Although we are grateful for each copy that has been distributed, we are also amazed at the difficulties related to each printing. Every edition has been affected by typographical errors that somehow slipped by us! Please continue to support us in your prayers as we engage in spiritual warfare in Bible translation.
Furlough Update: Our schedule for the next six months is rapidly filling up, and we have very few dates open. If your church would like for us to visit before we leave for Mongolia in June, please contact us at the address given above. It would be our joy to visit you.
Souls Saved: During this last month, we have had the privilege of sharing the Gospel with many people. Four dear souls prayed for salvation as a result of our leading them to Christ. At our nephew’s wedding, Marcy’s dad, Pastor Bill Yant, led the bride’s father to the Lord! It has been a great month.
Prayer Needs: Please pray for our final six months of furlough, that God would protect us and give us souls for our labor. Our two greatest needs are for health insurance, and for school materials for our children. We have not been able to purchase health insurance since 2007. Thank you for praying.
In Christ’s love,
Bill Patterson
PS God has graciously answered your prayers concerning the funds needed to travel to Mongolia. In just six hours, I will be departing to Mongolia. Please pray that all of God’s purposes would be accomplished.
