Dear Praying Friends:
One of the most important habits I learned from my parents was the discipline of daily Bible reading. Every time I face an important challenge, God has guided me through His Word. Because I love the Bible, I desire to see the Scriptures translated into every language. Would you pray with me for the six thousand six hundred languages that still do not have a complete translation of the Bible?
Mongolia Update: Eight weeks from today, we will depart for Mongolia! We are so excited to get back to our work and ministry. By God’s grace, Dashka and Oyumaa have continued their work of translation, and the church has done well under the leadership of the new national pastor.
Furlough Update: In only two hours, I will depart for Spain. This Sunday morning, I will be speaking for Living Hope Baptist Church in Beasain. In the evening, Pastor Al Bonikowsky has invited me to preach at the Irun Baptist Church near the border with France. Spain will be the tenth country that I have visited so far this year. Last month, I spoke twenty-two times in eight churches, and was blessed to see sixteen professions of faith. It is such an honor to serve the Lord!
Prayer Answers and Requests: By God’s grace, my parents were given a clean bill of health two weeks ago, although their doctors have now changed their medications to better help their needs. In preparation for our departure to Mongolia, we have the following needs: School materials for our children ($4,000); Translation software upgrades ($900); House rental deposit ($5,000). Your prayers are greatly appreciated.
In Christ’s love,
Bill Patterson
