Rom Ribeiro: March 2014 Prayer Letter

Dear Pastor and Brethren:

Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.” (Psalms 116:15)

The older we grow physically and spiritually, the more convinced we are that God is good. He uses us in spite of ourselves, and gives us vision for the ministry. Once again, we depend on the Lord to enable us to establish another church in the country of Brazil.  Ribeirão Preto is a traditional Catholic city of 700 thousand people. There are also small cities surrounding Ribeirão Preto with a tremendous need for Bible-believing churches. Please pray that we will be able to establish a church that will become a lighthouse in the Southeast of Brazil.

We had the privilege of recently participating in a Missions conference in the city of Miami. We felt at home in the warm weather and surrounded by people from various Latin American countries. Rom preached in some of the services, and Rom and Rachel taught Bible lessons in the church’s Christian school. Getting to meet Dr. Marc Mortensen, senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Westwood Lake and president of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, was a special privilege for Rom who had just completed the requirements for his master’s degree in Educational Leadership.

As we are approaching the date of our return to Brazil and a new phase of our lives and ministry, we ask you to pray specifically for our protection and provision for the ministry. The Lord knows of all the spiritual and material needs we are going to face during this next project. Thank you so much for your prayers and financial support. God is good, and you are an expression of His love for us.

In His Perfect Love,
Rom, Rachel, Rochelle & Roxanne Ribeiro
