On August 29 (our 16th wedding anniversary), we landed in Dallas, TX, to help out in the Abarim office and participate in some important missions conferences. Our first conference was at Worth Baptist Church with Dr. Weaver. The missions conference theme was “True Worship Produces a True Witness.” What a blessing it was to see this church’s heart for the world! After this conference I traveled to Mexico with my dear friend, Pastor Miguel Triano. We preached in two churches in Mexico City before driving up to San Luis Potosi to be a part of Dr. Luis Ramos’s grand missions conference.
During this conference, I had the joy of preaching and teaching in the following different venues: preaching in chapel services to 350 young men and woman preparing themselves to serve God, teaching special missions classes to 30 Mexican missionaries who are currently on deputation, preaching to 50-60 pastors in afternoon sessions on the power of prayer in missions and the pastor’s responsibility to his missionaries, devotions at a men’s fellowship meeting, teaching the students in the School of the Translators, preaching to the entire church body, and going soul winning. One of the highlights of the trip was when a young Bible school student named Daniel came to Miguel and me to tell us that God had used our messages to call him to serve in Africa. Please pray for Daniel as he finishes his training and plans to come on a mission’s trip in the very near future.
Please pray for us as we finish our work on a new “Warm Contact Evangelism” ministry plan and discipleship course for churches who want to do better at reaching the lost around them. By Gods grace, both Worth Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX, and Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, OK, will be kicking off their new outreach ministries in January and February of 2015. If you are interested and want to know more about this ministry plan, please email at email@example.com or call me at (682) 401-1122.
We also want to thank the Lord for giving our little Victoria another birthday. Yes, she is asking for her two front teeth for Christmas!
