We praise the Lord for an exciting year in Ixtlan Del Rio, Nayarit, Mexico, with Iglesia Bautista Libertad. The church celebrated its 7 year anniversary and was able to do so in a finished auditorium and a church building very close to being finished. The church had three great revival meetings (missions, anniversary revival, and family life) with special first-time speakers from other churches and other countries. Iglesia Bautista Libertad was able to accomplish, for the fourth time, giving the gospel to every family in Ixtlan Del Rio (with a population 30,000) and also to a smaller town close by named Mexpan! We praise the Lord for the opportunity to share God’s saving grace with others, especially to those who have never heard the gospel before. People were saved, families changed, and good growth was seen in Iglesia Bautista Libertad. Our desire and goal for this year at Iglesia Bautista Libertad was to have a more vibrant and friendly church in order to honor and give glory to Jesusmore. Praise the Lord! He allowed the church to do so.
Service at Iglesia Bautista Nacer de Nuevo
JOINED MABMI IN 2011
In 2011, Pastor Joel Hernandez and family were sent out of Iglesia Bautista Libertad to start Iglesia Bautista Nacer de Nuevo. Pastor Joel started the church in the town of Pueblo Nuevo in the mountains around Ixtlan Del Rio where there were twelve towns that did not have one Bible preaching church. Through his faithfulness to the Lord and the Lord’s blessing, the church has thrived in its first year and a half! Pastor Joel now has begun another service in one of those twelve towns each Friday evening and services with three different families in other towns on Saturdays. We praise the Lord for the work that is being done with Iglesia Bautista Libertad and Iglesia Bautista Nacer de Nuevo in preaching the People of Iglesia Bautista Libertad y Nacer de Nuevo
People of Iglesia Bautista Libertad y Nacer de Nuevo
As 2013 begins, we look forward to another great year in serving the Lord in Mexico. We are praying about starting a work in a group of five towns, only ten minutes outside of Ixtlan Del Rio that do not have a Bible-preaching church either. We would appreciate your prayers for wisdom as we go forth. Another goal for 2013 is to reach every family with the gospel of Jesus in the county of Ixtlan Del Rio. The church did this four years ago, going into many towns that had never heard the gospel before. We praise the Lord to have this wonderful blessing to be used to reach the unreached and would appreciate your prayers for grace, strength, protection and, of course, for souls saved, (1 Chronicles 28:20).
