Bill Patterson: August 2015 Prayer Letter
Dear Praying Friends:
Heaven rejoices when sinners find the Savior! Because Oyumaa was unable to return to the US, I flew to Mongolia for a three week trip in order to continue our translation work together. While there, I met Oyumaa’s mother for the first time. She is a ninety-one year old Distinguished Professor of Mathematics. For ten years, she had read the Bible, but had never placed her faith in the Lord.
It was a joy to share the Gospel with her, and watch as her eyes lit up with understanding. She joyfully accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Two days later, she told Oyumaa: “When I used to read to the Bible, I always felt like something was missing. But now, I have found what was missing!”
In two weeks, we will leave Heather and Ryan at Pensacola Christian College for the Fall semester. Marcy, Tricia, and I will then drive to Oregon, and then fly from there to Mongolia. We have two meetings and a wedding to attend while in the Northwest. After the summer ministry activities, our personal finances are depleted. Please pray that God would miraculously supply for every need.
In Christ’s love,
Bill Patterson
PS Please pray for safety as we travel, for blessings upon the meetings, and for wisdom as we finish the translation of the New Testament in Mongolian. Thank you for joining us before God’s throne in prayer.
