Dear Pastor and friends,

Christmas! What a wonderful time of the year! It is a season associated with lots of joy. When we focus on the One whose birthday Christians are celebrating, it brings us unspeakable joy! “A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.” Luke 2:32. Although most Jewish people today cannot recognize Him as their glory, that is what He is! Jesus is the Light of the World and He came to shed that light on all mankind!

I am so glad the light of the Gospel has reached into the mountains of the state of Guerrero in Mexico. Although that state is on the Do Not Travel List for American citizens, the Word of God has “free course.” II Thessalonians 3:1. Children in the Bethesda Children’s Home have received the Lord and thousands more in the surrounding region.

The Light of the Gospel has reached many more sections of Mexico. Last month I spoke in a ladies’ conference in the state of Sonora. I was amazed to meet ladies from at least fifteen area churches. It was a blessing! There were also four professions of faith and many other decisions made. God is working in Mexico! Praise His Holy Name!

Please pray for my son Bill Patterson. You know he is also the president of our mission and of the children’s home. While preaching in England, he fell and ruptured the quadricop tendon behind his right knee. He had to have surgery in England two weeks ago. He and his wife will be flying to the US next Monday. There will be a long period of recuperation. Please keep him in your prayers. Pray also God will meet every need.
