Becky Patterson and the Bethesda Homes : January 2026 Newsletter
Mrs. Becky Patterson – Missionary to Mexico
Bethesda Children’s Homes – Tlapa, Mexico

Dear Pastor and friends,
The children are back after the Christmas holidays, and school starts tomorrow. We thank God for what He has done in the past with the children who have been in the Bethesda Homes, and we are excited about the future for the ones who are with us now.
Christians in Tlapa often ask me to tell you how it was through the Homes they came to know the Lord. They say, “Please tell the supporters thank you. Please encourage them to continue supporting the Homes so more people can come to know Jesus as their Savior.” At the present we have six children who need monthly support, which is $150 for each child. Monthly operational offerings of any amount are also needed.
Over the Christmas holidays, the day after Christmas to be exact, Reyna, our school nurse and teacher, was taking a bus ride to visit a ministry in Oaxaca. The passenger bus she was on collided with another bus in the first town out of Tlapa. She was trapped for two hours in the bus. She suffered a broken hip, pelvis, tibia and fibula. She has not been able to have the needed surgeries. The hospital in Tlapa could not help her. She is presently in a hospital in Acapulco awaiting surgery. We still do not know when that will be. Please keep her and the medical team in your prayers.
This young lady has told me repeatedly that the only thing she wants in life is to serve the Lord. I just spoke with her on the phone. That is still her desire. She is trusting the Lord. We do not understand God’s ways sometimes, but we know He does all things well and He is worthy of our confidence.
January 20-22, 2026 are the dates for the upcoming Mount Abarim Conference at the Worth Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, TX. The theme this year is Make Him Known. The emphasis will be on Bible translation and cross-cultural evangelism. We hope many of you can come. It not, we would appreciate your prayers for a moving of the Holy Spirit in all our hearts.

Thank you for your faithful prayers an support. We are a team. I could not do what I do with your help. Thank you!
Because He first loved us,
Becky Patterson
