John and Dorcas Abedu-Kennedy
Church Planter in Apam, Ghana

We praise God for making us part of the Mount Abarim Missions family. We thank God for wisdom and a mission-minded vision given to Dr. Mike Patterson and others to start such a unique ministry which is open to assist called men of all races in reaching souls around the globe with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

I was approved as an affiliate missionary in 2001, having served for seventeen years in Liberia from 1975-1989 and from 1990-2000 as pastor of Christianborg Baptist Church in Osu, Accra.

Along with my mission responsibilities as business coordinator, liaising between missionaries of our mission and the government, we have been laboring in church planting with four church plants besides another three we planted when I was pastor at Christianborg Baptist Church.

We started a Bible School to train men for our church plants in 2009. By July of 2013, we are expecting to see four men graduate with a Diploma in Pastoral studies and two ladies with Certificates in Teaching and Vocational skills.

We are also doing Free Bible Correspondence Courses with ROGMA int. reaching several thousand people across Ghana and beyond.

Thank you for allowing us to represent you here in Africa as your mission

Annual Report 2023

Major Goals Reached:
By the grace of God we were able to reach many people in of our church plants through personal evangelism, knocking on doors, visitation, and Church ministries including Sunday School, Mid-week services, Men, Women, Youth and Young Adult’s fellowship groups, children ministries, including altar calls after preaching and teaching the word of God.

Salvation of Souls:
Among the many souls we reached who professed Christ as Savior and Lord, we have followed up with them, teaching them assurance of salvation. Seventeen of followed the Lord in baptism.

Church Plants:
Although we have had no church plants for the past two years, we have been prayerfully nurturing the two young churches at Ankamu and Senya Bereku. The Lord has enabled us to purchase land for the Ankamu fellowship which is being gradually developed, as He provides.

Prayer Concerns:
1. Praying for funds to buy land at Senya Bereku for our church building. The one we spotted downtown has gone out of our hands, because we were not financially ready to purchase it.

2. Pray also with us for funds to develop our plot of land in Apam, just a few feet from main Church. We have had this property for over six years. It is now under severe litigation with threats of being taken away from us, if we fail to do something on it soon.
