Dear Prayer Partners,

In our last letter, we reported that “Cindy” had been attending for over a year and had a credible profession of faith prior to her baptism. This past Sunday, I was able to present her a certificate of accomplishment for completing her first level of discipleship. This consists of 17 units, which cover basic Bible information along with answering a multitude of questions after each chapter. She continues to be a blessing to us personally and to the church family.

In August, we held special meetings with Evangelist Tim McVey and they were well attended by our folks, and we were thankful that other churches traveled to support him and us, and be an encouragement to our members. We also had Brother Mike Viscome from Gospel Text Missions come for a Sunday in September and our people were glad to receive free gospel signs to put up publicly at their homes. A couple of our men put up a large roadside sign right after the morning service so all passing by could see a gospel message.

We continue to pray and ask that you pray with us that God would provide a man to take over this work and allow us to move on to establish another church. There is certainly a great need for laborers everywhere. I know of a number of churches here in Maine that are looking for a pastor. Where are the young men to answer the call of ministry?
