Harold and Lílian Gilmer : December 2020 Prayer Letter

Harold and Lilian Gilmer – South America Director, Church Planter and Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil.

Dear Brethren:
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21).

Church Planting
It was joy to have my father, Dr. Tom Gilmer, finish our Missions Emphasis Month presenting the ministry of the Trinitarian Bible Society of Brazil, which he helped start over fifty years ago. Our Congregation will now start supporting the Trinitarian Bible Society of Brazil as one of its ministries, for
which we are very thankful. By God´s grace, we had a 15% increase in Faith Promise pledges. This is excellent good news, seeing that we are still battling the pandemic. God is Faithful!

Bible Ministry
We are speechless at what the Lord is doing at the Trinitarian Bible Society of Brazil. Another one of our key partners, a Christian-owned printing press here in Brazil, just announced that they are printing 700,000 complete Portuguese Bibles with our Bible text. This is turning out to be a miracle year for us, with a record number of Bibles distributed. Please do continue to pray with us for our Bible printing fund. The Lord has already provided over 50% of our printing needs, since we made our need known. God is hearing your prayers!

Family News
Lílian and the children are more than ready for their “summer” break from school (Brazilian schools have their summer break in December and January). They had their “winter” break in April and have gone nonstop since them! Lílian homeschooled the children through live streaming from their Brazilian school. They study at the only Brazilian Christian School that uses A Beka Book materials in English, which is giving them a true bi-lingual education. We are amazed at how the Lord placed us only five minutes away from this school. Rapha will be going into fourth grade and Dani will be starting first grade next year. Praise the Lord they did very well in their studies. God is Good!

Yours fellow servants in Brazil,
Harold, Lílian, Raphael and Danielle
