Mount Abarim Baptist Mission International – Home Office Report 2021
September 2, 2021
Dear Praying Friends of Mount Abarim,
For the past few days, as I prepared to write this letter, the many burdens facing some of our missionaries weighed heavily upon my heart. The Lord reminded me that He has called us to take our burdens to Him in prayer. For that reason, this month’s letter will be a list of our urgent prayer requests.
Mrs. Gloria King was recently diagnosed with tumors in her lungs and bones. She will be seeking a second opinion. Her co-pay for the prescribed medicine is expected to be $2,800 per month.
Hispanic church planters Alex and Anaid Hernandez are facing many trials. Anaid was recently diagnosed with cancer and is on chemo. With three young sons, Bro. Alex is working hard to meet their needs.
The Stetson Planck family is on deputation to return to Italy and need new ministry partners to reach their support goals. Please pray that his gifted family will soon be able to return to their field of service.
Griselda Reyes, the widow of Missionary Arturo Reyes, is staying with her children until she can return to Honduras. Their church needs a new pastor, and the family needs the Lord’s comfort and peace.
Dr. John Abedu-Kennedy’s granddaughter, Charlene, continues to struggle with migraines and eye problems. The Abedu-Kennedy family hopes to return soon to Ghana.
Pastor and Mrs. Rom Ribeiro are on a short furlough as they try to raise funds for the construction of their sixth church in Brazil. With God’s help, they hope to be back home by the first part of next year.
Your financial gifts allow our office to serve families around the world! Although many needs have not been mentioned here, our Heavenly Father knows. Your prayers are greatly appreciated!
In His love,
Dr. Bill Patterson, President
