Harold and Lilian Gilmer – South America Director, Church Planter and Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil

Dear Brethren:
“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested” (1 Chronicles 4:10).

Enlarging Our Coast
The Lord is giving us the opportunity to “enlarge” our coasts, by branching out to help other ministries, while faithfully serving in the ministries He has given us.

Children´s Ministry
The young couple that we are training (Uarlisson and Graziele) were asked to help a fellow Church here in Brazil to do a Good News Bible Club on Saturdays. They accepted the challenge with the condition that the Church would follow up the kids and get them into Church. Rejoice with us, twenty-three children called on the Lord for salvation through this endeavor. We also started two Good News Bible Clubs on Saturdays at our Congregation in preparation for Vacation Bible School in July. Praise the Lord, thirty-nine children have called on the Lord for salvation thus far. We are very excited about the Missions Team from Worth Baptist Church that will be coming to help us with our Vacation Bible School and Evangelistic Outreach.

Bible Ministry
During the early stages of the Pandemic, while in lock-down, I prayed that the Lord would allow us to use the knowledge He has given us to help other ministries with their Bible projects, as well. The Lord answered that prayer and allowed us to help Dr. Benny Beckum prepare his Intercessor Ministries Prayer Bible. This Bible was typeset here in Brazil at the design bureau we use for our own Bibles, with the cross references of the Trinitarian Bible Society of Brazil and with the maps of the Trinitarian Bible Society of England. This Bible just went to print at the same press we use in South Korea and is available for pre order at: https://shop.theintercessor.org/products/prayer-bible. The Lord willing it will be made available in October.

Bible Distribution—Special Thank You!
Thank you for helping us get the Word out! Several special offerings have come in toward our Bible distribution fund, for which we are very thankful. We cannot stress enough how necessary these offerings are. The last of our funds were used to give 1,300 New Testaments to prison inmates.
