Manuel and Reina Diaz : 2023 Annual Report (January 2024)
Manuel and Reina Diaz – Church Planter in Equatorial Guinea, Africa
God has been good to us in this year 2023, providing for every need that His work requires, using each one of you who faithfully support, in prayer and financially, the work done in this place. We began the year with our missions’ conference, teaching the brethren to participate with faith promise to reach the world with the Gospel.
God blessed us with brothers obeying the Lord in baptism, taking their first step of obedience to the Lord. All the ministries of the church: visitation, Sunday school, weekday and Sunday services, children’s church, youth classes and choir, as well as the Mount Abarim school classes continue.
We celebrated the first anniversary of the Monte Abarim mission in the DAR neighborhood, a bigger pace has been rented, people are being saved and we pray that God will continue to bless this place. In the Church institute, the brethren learned the basic doctrines to be more effective in the work of the Lord.
We held vacation Bible schools in five different neighborhoods: the children learned aobut our Lord Jesus Christ, sang, played and enjoyed a snack every day. God blessed us with an average of 600 children, several of them received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The main activity this year was soul winning, involving the brethren and exhorting them to be faithful. God blessed us with people putting their faith in Christ during the services and in the times of going out soul winning throughout the year.
Dangers of diseases lie typhoid and malaria increased this year and the new Marburg virus has caused many people to die because they do not take preventive measures seriously. Most people said it did not exist, but that it was witchcraft.
Our greatest desire is to go on until the Lord allows us to. We pray to our God the he continues to give us strength even in sickness.
We thank God, because this year marks 20 years that we have been missionaries in Africa. His care and faithfulness have been present all this time. All glory be to him.
We encourage you to take part in the work that God allows us to do in this part of the world, the needs are many. God has called us and we will continue going forward.
May God bless you!
