Tom and Linda Gilmer : March-April 2026 Prayer Letter
Dr. Thomas and Mrs. Linda Gilmer – Church Planter, Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil
March-April 2026
Dear Friends of Zion:
Thank you so much for continued support with your prayers and offerings to help us in ministry that reaches around the globe. Linda and I are grateful to still be serving at 82 and 84 years of age, respectively. Praise God for His faithfulness.
Attempts to renew my Brazilian driver’s license have become an eight-month nightmare because of bureaucratic conflicts. It took six months to resolve a problem that arose regarding our permanent residence card, and now another bureaucratic morass keeps coming up to hinder the driver´s license process. Thank the Lord for taxis as needed. This has opened many doors of opportunity to witness to many we would never have met otherwise! Some have accepted Christ and are close to becoming fully involved in local churches. Pray the matter of the driver’s license can be settled quickly. God’s will be done.
Alzira Ramos, the only surviving member of the ladies’ group that prayed for a church in the Moema/Indianópolis area of São Paulo before we arrived in Brazil, is now 88 years old and living in a Christian home for the elderly. Hours and days have been spent helping in her transition. Thank the LORD that Paulo, a 100% Bible deacon, and his wife Neide are committed to her care. The sale of her properties
and her retirement pension should cover her expenses for her entire lifetime and also be a help to one of our churches. Alzira has been totally dedicated to our ministries and has been involved in the establishment of every church we have helped to start here in Brazil. Praise the Lord, and may God continue to bless!
Yours for the Messiah,
Tom and Linda Gilmer
