Harold and Lílian Gilmer : November 2020 Prayer Letter
Harold and Lilian Gilmer – South America Director, Church Planter and Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil.
Dear Brethren:
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).
Church Planting
Our new Church is still a congregation of New Life Baptist Church, but we are already supporting four missionaries. During the month of November, we are having our Missions Emphasis Month, with each one of our missionaries presenting their ministries. We will renew Faith Promise commitments at the end of the month, and will be adding one more ministry, the Lord willing. We are also motivating the children to participate in Faith Promise giving.
Bible Ministry
The Lord gave me the wonderful opportunity of giving an hour-long interview on the Bible on Brazilian National TV last month, on behalf of the Trinitarian Bible Society of Brazil, of which I am the Executive Vice President. The interviewer asked that I give a clear presentation on why we use the Massoretic Text, the Textus Receptus, and use the formal equivalency method of translation. By God´s grace the interview was very well received, to which we can only give God the glory!
Rejoice with us for additional offerings received toward our Bible printings. Since we made our need known, the Lord has already provided 40% of our printing needs. A very special Thank You to all who are giving toward this project. May the Lord greatly bless you!
Thank You!
As we enter the Thanksgiving celebrations, we must take time to say Thank You for your faithful support and Faith Full Prayers! Nothing touches our hearts more than to know that someone is praying for us. We were especially touched recently when Dr. Brian Bucy sent us an e-mail with the signatures of many students who prayed for us at Pensacola Christian College during Mission Prayer Band. We were also touched with a letter from Bro. Nathan, who prays for us within prison walls. Praise God our prayers are not bound within four walls, but reach the “Throne of Grace” of Him Who gives mercy and grace.
Yours fellow servants in Brazil,
Harold, Lílian, Raphael and Danielle
