Becky Patterson and the Bethesda Homes -December 2022 Newsletter
Mrs. Becky Patterson – Missionary to Mexico
Bethesda Children’s Homes – Tlapa, Mexico
Dear Pastor and friends,
“Thou didst leave thy throne and Thy kingly crown, when thou camest to earth for me…” With all our preparations for Christmas, may we remember why our dear Lord Jesus left His home in Glory. “For the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10
Two weeks ago, as I enjoyed a delicious meal after a wedding in Tlalquetzala, Guerrero, Pastor Sergio Tapia asked me if I realized my brother Lyle McCoy had wanted to take the Gospel to that town and the townspeople would not let him enter. As a matter of fact, Lyle was not allowed to take the Gospel in all the Nahuatl area where we were. I told him yes, I know that, but at least five children had attended the Bethesda Children’s Home and today there is a church in that town. The bride had been one of those children and now she and her husband will be missionaries in Colombia.
Brother Tapia continued to name off at least five other areas where my brother had not been allowed to go. Brother Marco Aviles told the pastor we now have or have had children from all those areas in the Home. I could not help but remember how my father, Ralph McCoy, had the vision of reaching the mountain people through the children. History has proven that was part of God’s plan.
I am so thankful for the Bethesda Children’s Home! I am also thankful for you, your prayers, and contributions so this ministry can continue. May you have a wonderful Christmas, remembering a Savior who gave it all so we might live with Him eternally!
God bless you!
Your in Christ,
Becky Patterson
