Becky Patterson and the Bethesda Homes : May-June 2025 Newsletter

Mrs. Becky Patterson – Missionary to Mexico

Dear Pastor and friends,

“And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” (Isaiah 54:13) At the Bethesda Children’s Home that is truly our desire. As the Word of God is taught, we pray the Holy Spirit of God will awaken the hearts of the children to make peace with Him through salvation. We also pray they can learn to find their refuge in God during difficult times. There is no greater peace than that which God gives!

The months of April, May and June are exciting times for the children. Besides the two weeks celebrating Easter and spring break in April, there is Children’s Day, Labor Day, Mother’s Day, Teacher’s Day, Student’s Day and other holidays during these months. Mexico believes in honoring their citizens! Each day is made special in different ways, and the children love it! May each of the children treasure happy times in their hearts forever!

On Mother’s Day, the children honored me with some kind notes I have put in a special notebook. The girls prepared a song for me expressing their gratitude for my love and gave me a beautiful Mexican blouse. I love these kids so much. I think they know that because I feel their love also. May they see Jesus in all of us workers at the Home and desire to be like Him.

Frequently the children tell me their favorite time of the week is when they get to go to church. This trills me! Long after they graduate and leave the Home, I pray they will have a burning desire to be in church and serve the Lord, wherever He might lead them.

One of our vehicles used to take the boys to church is in the process of a major motor repair. Please help us pray the repairs will be properly done and we can have many more years of service from this vehicle. Also, please pray the expense will not be too great. Please let our office know if you would like to help with an offering.

The fruit trees at the farm have produced delicious mangoes and tamarine fruit. The soil is too full of rocks and sand to be able to plant a crop. We continue to trust the Lord for His direction for His land.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support. I look forward to introducing these children to you in Heaven one day. What a day that will be!

For the love of Christ,
Becky Patterson
