Harold and Lilian Gilmer – South America Director, Church Planter and Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil

Dear Brethren:
“. . . I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18b).

Great Progress at the Church
Praise the Lord, great progress was made on the new building this past month! The utilities are already connected, the facade is installed, the restrooms are 70% complete—the Lord willing we
will move into the new building by the end of August!

Much work remains to be done in the finishing touches of the building, which is a very costly stage, so please continue to remember us in your prayers. The Lord provides!

Sweetheart Day is on June 12th in Brazil. Each year we celebrate with a Sweetheart Banquet, which is a great way of bringing in visitors. By God’s grace, we had one decision through this banquet.

In preparation for Vacation Bible School, we are having a Good News Bible Club in a needy community near the Church. Thus far, twenty-four children have called on the Lord for salvation. God is good!

Bible . . . and Literature Publication
The Lord is most definitely directing us to add Literature Publication to our ministry, along with Bible Publication. We have already received the translation of four books. Praise the Lord!

Lílian is now coming to the office two days a week to work on proofreading. The Lord prepared her for this ministry and it is so wonderful to see her flourish in this area, using her talents for the Lord. July is the kids’ “winter break” from school in Brazil, but that didn´t stop Lílian from taking them to the office while she proofreads. : ) They enjoy going to “Daddy´s office”.
