Mrs. Becky Patterson – Missionary to Mexico
Bethesda Children’s Homes – Tlapa, Mexico

Dear Pastor and friends,
After spending a week in Cuernavaca with my daughter Allison and her family, I a now back in Tlapa, As my husband Mike Patterson and I ministered in Cuernavaca for more than forty five years, all five of our children grew up there until they went to college. Allison wanted her own children to see where she had spent her childhood and adolescence. We had a wonderful week introducing her children to the things their mother had experienced. My grandchildren enjoyed it so much, they did not want to leave! As their grandmother, I hated to see them go!
It is so good to be back in Tlapa, though! the staff have expressed thier joy in having me back. The children have given me lots of hugs and little expressions of love. Yesterday, we had a pizza party in the classroom where I work. They also gave me drawings they had done with sweet notes and Bible verses and even a bouquet of roses. I think they love me, and I know I love them!
Our staff member Reyna, who was in that terrible bus wreck the day after Christmas, is recuperating well after her surgeries. She still has to heal for another month before she is able to star therapy, but she has a good attitude. We have had some good visits the past few days. We are rejoicing that God spared her life. He undoubtedly has great plans for the rest of her life.
We would appreciate prayers for the teen who was in the wreck with Reyna. His leg was broken, it is still in a cast, but he is having a hard time accepting why that had to happen to him. He needs prayer.
During the past month, ten of our little girls have received the assurance of their salvation and were baptized. As I sat in church Sunday, I kept praising the Lord for all He has done in the lives of the children. Three of our girls were playing the violin in the orchestra. The pianist was a former girl in the children’s homes. The song leader was born in the boys’ home as his parents worked here. Half of the adult choir are currently young people in the homes and most of the others are children of parents who used to be in the homes. The majority of the children’s choir are children in Bethesda, and I could go on and on! It is so thrilling for this grandmother to see the results of faithful ministry, first from my parents and my brother, and now with so many national Christians. All the praise and honor goes to our Savior!

Thank you for your prayers and support. The joy in Heaven when all is over and done will be unspeakable, I am sure. Thank you from the depths of my heart!
Because He first loved us,
Becky Patterson
