Harold and Lilian Gilmer – South America Director, Church Planter and Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil

Dear Brethren:
“The Lord gave the Word: great was the company of those that published it” (Psalm 68:11).

“All hands on deck!”
When time comes to receive a container of Scriptures or to get a truckload shipped off, it´s “all hands on deck!” The Lord did not give us a warehouse and able-bodied personnel for nothing. We have two ministries: Team Church Planting and Bible/Literature publication. Someone asked me once: what do you all do at the Trinitarian Bible Society of Brazil? That is a question that I would love to share the answer with all:

Publishing – The Lord has allowed us to publish what is known as the most faithful edition of the Portuguese Bible (the Almeida Corrigida Fiel | acf). It is interesting to note that the Trinitarian Bible Society of England has published the Portuguese Scriptures since 1839, twenty years before Darwin first published his book, On The Origin of Species, in1859!

Distributing – The Lord provided us a warehouse in the most strategic place in Brazil, right in the heart of the city of São Paulo, located near the port. We are set up to receive containers and ship Scriptures anywhere in Brazil (and the World).

Partnering – The Lord has given us many partnerships in Bible publishing and distributing, and everyone can have a part in getting The Word out. For example: both Bearing Precious Seed of Milford, Ohio, and Bible & Literature Missionary Foundation are preparing Bibles for us to distribute. We need to cover the shipping costs of getting these Bibles to Brazil and then getting them to Churches across Brazil. If your Church would like to partner with us, please earmark your offering Bible Distribution. We need to say a special Thank You to Pastor Redlin and Campus Church for the special offering they sent last month for this need!
