Tom Gilmer: Sept-Nov 2017 Prayer Letter
Dear Friends of Zion:
Linda and I thank you for your faithful prayers and offerings during the past three busy months. Since the last days of August, I have been able to circulate again with my wife or a taxi driver as my chauffeur. The doctor insists that I should not start driving until the first part of next year. It is a joy to be out in ministry after months of confinement.
Up and running almost too much! That partially explains the reason for a three-month letter. But also, we were attempting to prepare a prayer letter that would enable you to print out our latest picture (4”x6” or 8”x10”) or our prayer card. At the bottom of this letter you will find internet links that will make it possible for you to print pictures or prayer cards yourself or to have them printed at any quick print establishment. Or, for those who receive the letter by email, by using the annex or the links, you can print or have printed the photos or prayer cards, and even flash the photo on your screen at your church. If needed, however, we can mail you the photos in print and the number of prayer cards requested. (If you do not receive this letter by email but would like to, please let us know to what email address we should send it.)
SATURATION IN ENGLISH NEEDED! Stephanie Zucchi da Silva, the 26-year-old daughter of Pastor Marcos da Silva from our first church, needs to live in a home while studying English for one to six months in the USA. She is a graduate in Business Administration and has worked for Dow Chemical here in Brazil. If you or a good, stable family from your church should be interested in helping, please call or write requesting her photograph, testimony, contact information, etc. She wants to be active in a local church while studying.
Our Friday night Friends of Zion meeting attracts people from different churches. Recently we gave opportunity for testimonies about witnessing to Jewish people. A lady from another church who speaks Hebrew and Arabic, always arrives late, but comes to get tracts and never speaks publically, said she had witnessed to about 50 Israelis who worked at the Dead Sea Cosmetics booth in the shopping center. We were surprised there were so many! I had endeavored to give tracts and speak to all of them, too, but never kept up with the number. As reported in a past prayer letter, one of them professed faith in Jesus as the Messiah. May God bless the seed that was sown, and may it bear fruit for eternity.
