Harold and Lílian Gilmer : February 2021 Prayer Letter

Harold and Lilian Gilmer – South America Director, Church Planter and Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil.

Dear Brethren:

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus . . .” (Ephesians 3:20-21a).

Church Planting
To say that last year was extremely different for the entire World is a huge understatement, yet the Lord kept His promise to never leave nor forsake us. We are very happy to report that last year, through our small Congregation, we saw 116 people saved, 2 baptized, 2 seminary students being developed, and 10,350 tracts distributed. To God be the glory!

Bible Ministry
Last month we reported that in 2020 we distributed over 1.4 million Bibles through the Trinitarian Bible Society of Brazil and through our special partnerships. Seeing that our Bibles were printed in four different countries and at six different printing presses, we knew that the final count would be higher once all of the reports came in, but we did not know how much higher they would be. Now that all of the reports from our partnerships are in, we are pleased to report that 1.733.451 complete Portuguese Bibles were printed and distributed throughout the Portuguese speaking World in 2020. In addition, one of our key Bible App partners (Bíblia JFA Offline) just sent in their report for 2020. Through their Bible App, 4.500.663 users read our Portuguese Bible last year. To God be the glory!

Please do continue to pray with us for our Bible printing fund. The Lord has already provided over 65% of our printing needs, since we made our need known. God is hearing your prayers! A very special Thank You to all who are giving toward this project. May the Lord greatly bless you!

Special Remembrance
On January 13, my campus mom, Mrs. Jill Gellos, graduated to glory. She suffered a stroke and heart attack and contracted Covid-19. We did not get to see her the last time we were in the USA because she was away on a mission’s trip. Our hearts go out Mr. Mike Gellos, my campus dad, and their loving family. We will never forget her sweet smile and love for the Lord.

Yours fellow servants in Brazil,
Harold, Lílian, Raphael and Danielle
