Bill Patterson: March 2016 Prayer Letter
Dear Praying Friends:
God’s plan for our lives always begins right where we are. Over the past few months, as we have finished two major projects, we have been prayerfully seeking God’s will for future ministry opportunities. In the Lord’s providence, He has shown us a new avenue of ministry!
Training Bible Translators: The last week of February found me at the School of Translators in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The students are about to embark upon a class project of translating the Bible into the Xi’oi language. After prayer, they have invited us to teach in the school, as often as possible, in a modular setting. By being in Mexico, we will be able to help our Mexican missionaries preparing for missionary service, and visit the Bethesda Children’s Homes as often as needed!
Furlough News: While in Mexico, forty adults surrendered for missionary service on a Sunday evening. Two days later, in chapel at a Bible Institute, another thirty-one surrendered for missionary service. Praise the Lord for working in the hearts and lives of His people!
New Testament Dedications: Lord willing, on April 23, Trinitarian Bible Society will celebrate a dedicatory service and public launch of the revised Spanish New Testament in Madrid, Spain. Four days later, we will hold a dedicatory service and public launch of the Mongolian New Testament in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Please pray for all the preparations and for those of us who will be traveling.
In Christ’s love,
Bill Patterson
P.S. I was recently asked: “What makes Mount Abarim unique?” The enclosed brochure explains our philosophy of ministry. If you know of a missionary that could use our help, please contact our office.
