Harold and Lilian Gilmer – South America Director, Church Planter and Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil

Dear Brethren:

“The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad” (Psalm 126:3).

Allow “the little children to come unto me” (Mark 10:14b)
The Lord was very outspoken about his love for children in His earthly ministry. We can see through our own ministry that His love for children has not changed one bit.

Good News Bible Club
Through the two Good News Bible Clubs that we held in preparation for Vacation Bible School, an additional thirteen children called on the Lord for salvation. Praise God!

Vacation Bible School
Praise the Lord the Missions Team from Worth Baptist Church came to help us with our Vacation Bible School and Evangelistic Outreach. We are very thankful that my missionary niece Roxanne and her husband Bruno, along with my niece Rochelle (an English teacher), came to help interpret and ended up working very hard! Rejoice with us, twenty-nine children and adults called on the Lord for salvation through this endeavor. I wrote the following thank you note to the group:

“Thank you all so much for investing of yourselves in our lives this past week. Your visit will have a lasting
impact in our community, our Church, and our lives! The time of prayer, fellowship, ministry, simply togetherness, were priceless! Thank you for everything that you all did in our lives. We will be praying for each one of you as you return to your routines. We love you and are so thankful to call Worth our Church.”

Bible Printing Fund—Another Special Thank You!
Thank you for helping us get The Word out! Several special offerings came in for our Bible Printing Fund since our last letter, totaling a little over US$ 8,000.00, for which we are very thankful. We just began the printing of 25,000 Portuguese Bibles with the necessary funds in hand. The Lord provides! We are truly grateful that there is still a great need and desire for more Scriptures in Portuguese.

I had the privilege of going to Chile (by invitation of the Trinitarian Bible Society) for the launch of the Spanish Bible, which my cousin, Dr. Bill Patterson, worked on. That is a great Ebenezer for the Spanish!
