Harold and Lílian Gilmer : March 2021 Prayer Letter

Harold and Lilian Gilmer – South America Director, Church Planter and Bible Translation in São Paulo, Brazil.

Dear Brethren:

A beautiful Sunday evening service, before the new lockdown came into effect

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus . . .” (Ephesians 3:20-21a).

Church Planting
Exactly one year ago Brazil went into lockdown and in-person services were prohibited. The Governor of our state just announced that in-person services will once again be suspended, at least through the remainder of March, as a measure to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. We will once again resort to broadcasting our services online. Please pray with us for Brazil, which is now the epicenter of the Pandemic, with the new variant of the virus posing a threat to the entire World.

Bible Ministry
What I thought was going to be a one-year internship just turned into twenty years of service. This month marks twenty years since I began serving at the Trinitarian Bible Society of Brazil. All I can say is that it was a glove fit and all the glory for what was accomplished these past twenty years be to God!

We are pleased to report that the total circulation figure of the Portuguese Bibles, New Testaments, Scripture portions and Bible app users in 2020 was 6,311,336. The Portuguese Bible was shipped, read, and heard in 31 countries. To God be the glory!

The Lord has also already provided over 70% of our printing needs for this year. To God be the glory! Please do continue to pray with us for the remainder of the funds. Our God hears and answers prayer!

Yours fellow servants in Brazil,
Harold, Lílian, Raphael and Danielle
