Mike Patterson: March 2015 Prayer Letter

Dear Ones:

On February 24, I had a heart ablation surgery in an attempt to stop the atrial fibrillation which has preceded each of my heart attacks.  I have been free from the malady since March 1.  It looks like it was a success and I thank you for praying.  Pray for Becky who will be having two vein ablations on her right leg this week.

Cuernavaca Church Still Growing

Pray for Pastor Ramirez in Cuernavaca who just lost his mother.  The church is doing well, and we hope to soon be back in Mexico.  The Mount Abarim Baptist Church is a marvelous answer to your prayers and is now sending missionaries worldwide.

The home of my parents sold and I received 50% of the proceeds.  It was a joy to help in mission projects on four continents in their honor.  It was a special blessing to help others as you have helped us.

One of the above projects was to fund a heart surgery for a child in Viet Nam.  Our dear friend and Abarim affiliate, Dr. Jim Alley, spearheads this project that has resulted in the salvation of so many families.  With the help of his team of doctors who donate their services, $2,500 will fully fund one of these open heart surgeries.

I am growing in strength every day and am now accepting meetings until released to return to Mexico. I really missed the warmth of Mexico, since our part of Texas had the coldest late February and early March in recent history. Our 30-year old heater went out and we camped by the fireplace for five days before it could be replaced. I got the bill today. It’s time now to pray!

God has allowed our ministry to expand all over the world. We could have never done it without folks like you who sacrifice to send us. In so many ways, I feel that the best is yet to come. What an honor to serve the omnipotent God of Heaven.
